"This (summoning of Singh) is political witch-hunting and we condemn it. Singh has been a financial expert and a Prime Minister and is one the most honest men, who is respected the world over.
"This may result in defaming the image of the country. That is why Congress party has taken a stand and we will fight this battle politically and legally," the state Congress president G A Mir told reporters at the sidelines of a function here.
"We can assess that this (the PDP-BJP coalition) is not the long lasting government. We are seeing that its base is crumbling and it cannot go a long way," Mir said.
Referring to their over two months of hard negotiations to stitch the coalition, Mir said "the two parties took a long time in coming together and we were expecting that they would come up with a big agenda for serving the people otherwise the basic ideologies of the two parties do not match.
