Sun TV Q3 net up marginally at Rs 215.59 cr

Sun TV Network today reported a marginal increase in net profit at Rs 215.59 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2015.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 214.13 crore in the corresponding period of the last fiscal, Sun TV Network said in a BSE filing.
Total income from operations stood at Rs 574.12 crore as against Rs 552.44 crore in the year-ago period, up 3.92 per cent.
The Board of Directors at its meeting held today has declared a second interim dividend of Rs 2 per equity share of face value Rs 5 each (at 40 per cent) for 2015-16, the filing added.
With this, the total dividend declared by the Board for the ongoing fiscal is Rs 8 (160 per cent) of face value Rs 5 each as against a total dividend of Rs 11.25 per share (225 per cent) declared in the previous fiscal, it said.
Shares of Sun TV Network closed the day at Rs 329.70 apiece, up 1.01 per cent from the previous close on BSE.
