Bhubaneswar continued to remain the hottest place in the state for the second consecutive day with the relative humidity ratio remaining static at 89 per cent.
However, the IMD predicted a fall of temperatures in Bhubaneswar tomorrow though the humidity ratio would continue to at around 89 per cent.
An IMD release said temperatures fell in most places including Titlagarh, which recorded the highest temperature of 47 deg C last week.
The state's Special Relief Commissioner's (SRC) office confirmed the death of 28 people due to sunstroke across Odisha. The revenue department has also received reports of alleged deaths of 135 people due to heat related incidents.
While the highest number of seven sunstroke casualties were confirmed from the Ganjam district, it was followed by six in Kendrapara, four in Bargarh and two each in Cuttack and Rayagada districts.
