"There was a demand by opposition (Congress) to cull monkeys and wild boars which are creating nuisance for the farmers. I support the demand. I am very practical about it," Legislator Siddharth Kuncolienkar, who represents Panaji, said in the state Legislative Assembly today.
"I assure you (opposition benches), I will not take to street calling monkey as avatar of Lord Hanuman and Wild Boar that of Lord Vishnu," he said.
Kuncolienkar said those who oppose the reclassification of coconut plant are simply trying to raise emotional pitch.
