"Tomorrow I will write to Didi requesting her to ask for more central forces for the upcoming municipal corporation polls in Bidhanagar and Asansol," the Union Minister of state for Urban Development said.
Supriyo said that only central forces could ensure free and fair polls.
"We have seen the last municipal polls and seen the way polling took place. The state police has failed to ensure free and fair polls as they act on the orders of the state administration and ruling party. So only the central forces can ensure proper polls in the corporation elections," Supriyo said.
