The TDP MLAs wanted to meet Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary to discuss their various demands, including revoking the suspension of 10 party legislators barred from attending the ongoing Budget session for staging protest in the House.
However, police did not allow them to enter the Assembly complex.
"Revanth Reddy and Dayakar Rao were among four TDP MAs who were taken into preventive custody when they were trying to enter the Assembly premises. They were later let off," Assistant Commissioner of Police (Saifabad Division) Surender Reddy told PTI.
The Opposition legislators were suspended by the Speaker after they refused to tender an apology for staging a protest during the Governor's address on the opening day of the Budget Session and for allegedly insulting the national anthem.
