He has 6,67,600 shares of Kings India Chemicals Corporation, an enterprise owned by his family with a current market value of Rs 13,35,200.
He has movable property worth Rs 74.92 lakh while his two wives togther have movable property worth Rs 90.82 lakh. He has given Rs 5 lakh as loan to his party colleague and Rajya Sabha member Trichy Siva.
DMK Parliamentary Party leader since 2009, Baalu owns agricultural land of 33 acres in Pudukottai and Tiruvarur districts. His wife Porkodi owns a bungalow in Chennai's upscale Kodambakkam area. His other wife Renukadevi owns farm lands of 16.90 acres in Pudukottai district.
He also has liability of Rs 1.03 Crore and Porkodi Rs 6.90 lakh.
