Tata Communications shares tank over 9% on Q4 loss

Shares of Tata Communications today slumped over 9 per cent after the company reported a loss of Rs 209 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2017.
The stock plunged 9.07 per cent to settle at Rs 640.75 on BSE. Intra-day, it tumbled 11.16 per cent to Rs 626.
At NSE, shares of the company dropped 9.11 per cent to close at Rs 641.40.
The company's market valuation too declined by Rs 1,821.62 crore to Rs 18,261.38 crore.
In terms of volume, 6.22 lakh shares of the company were traded on BSE and over 42 lakh shares changed hands at NSE during the day.
The gross revenue for the same quarter stood at Rs 4,300 crore.
The consolidated net profit for the full year ended March 31, 2017 stood at Rs 1,233 crore.
The company said none of the figures are comparable.
