Tata Power Solar commissions 3 MW plant for Andhra Sugars

Tata Power Solar has commissioned 3 MW solar power plant for Andhra Sugars Limited.
Built as part of the Renewable Purchase Obligation (RPO) and for their captive consumption, the plant is based at The Andhra Sugars Limited, Chemicals & Fertilizers Division, Kovvur, Andhra Pradesh.
The 3 MW project is spread across 15 acres and has used 12,000 polycrystalline modules. It was completed in 45 days, from time of execution, and is currently operational.

SJVNL to set up 80 MW Doimukh hydel project in AP * State-run hydro power producer SJVNL today announced signing of a pact for setting up 80 MW Doimukh hydel project in Arunachal Pradesh.

"The company has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) for the implementation of 80 MW Doimukh Hydro Electric Project as a run of the river scheme on river Pare in Arunachal Pradesh," SJVNL said in a statement.

The MoA was signed by R P Singh, CMD, SJVNL and Kaling Tayeng, Secretary (Power), Government of Arunachal Pradesh at Itanagar.

Tigerair offers free Singapore trip to HDFC Bank customers * Singapore-based budget carrier Tigerair today partnered with private lender HDFC Bank to offer one-way journey to Singapore for free.
The special offer "fly to Singapore for free," for HDFC Bank's domestic debit, credit and pre-paid customers is available for a limited period.

This offer begins on August 18 and can be availed till September 7 for a travel period between September 16 and December 20 as well as between January 26, 2015 and March 26 2015, the release said.
During the offer period, these card holders can book for a round-trip fare to Singapore and will get onward ticket from India to Singapore complimentary, excluding the airport taxes and other charges, a Tigerair release said here.
