TCS is official IT provider for Singapore Marathon

Software services major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has extended its partnership as official IT provider to a marathon to be held here in December.
TCS will provide the third-generation of the official race smartphone app and has also grown its corporate presence at the 2016 race, including the initiation of a new charity fundraising programme.
"TCS is extremely excited to continue our relationship as official IT provider of the Standard Chartered Marathon in Singapore on December 3-4, and to once again deliver our world-leading and award-winning digital capabilities and technology to the largest mass running event in South East Asia," Girish Ramachandran, President, TCS Asia Pacific said.

Expanding its presence at the race, this year TCS has also created a new charity fundraising programme for the race and is offering limited edition shoelaces developed with Brooks, a leading running-shoe maker.
All proceeds from the shoelace sales will go to TCS Singapore's charity of choice, SPD, an organisation that supports persons with disabilities.
SPD executive director Abhimanyau Pal said, "It is with the support of individuals and organisations such as TCS that we are able to continue running programmes and services to help people with disabilities to be independent and self-reliant.
