M Venkataramana passed away at a private hospital here today.
He is survived by his wife and two daughters.
The 67-year-old two time MLA, representing Tirupati, was under treatment at the hospital for the past eight days for a kidney ailment. He underwent a cardiac bypass surgery yesterday.
In 2004, he was elected to the Andhra Pradesh Assembly on a Congress ticket and in 2014 he won as a TDP nominee.
Tirupati MP and YSR Congress leader Varaprasad was among those who visited the hospital to pay last respects to the departed MLA.
