'Esya', organised by Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology -Delhi (IIIT-D), began here today.
Students from various technical institutes are expected to gather and participate in various events like "Overnight Hackathon, Procon-programming, Seg Fault-debugging and Robocon-robotics to those like 'Prayatna', a contest to design a business plan that uses technology to benefit society, apart from fun events like IT-treasure hunt, Crossword and Pool games.
"Annual tech fest, which started in 2011, is expected to witness a footfall of 5,000-6,000 this year," organisers said.
The total prize money of the entire event, being sponsored by over 30 firms like Microsoft Research, IBM, NTPC and Union Bank of India, would be Rs 4.5 lakh.
