A trap was laid and Prafulla Chandra Das, technical consultant, Rangeilunda, was caught while allegedly accepting Rs 20,000 from the complainant on Friday to issue completion certificate of construction of additional rooms in the school, said vigilance SP, Berhampur, Manoranjan Panda.
While the bribe cash and several relevant documents were seized, his house at Godavarish Nagar here was also searched, the SP said.
The findings from the house search were yet to be known.
