The accused, K Jayaraju, raped the minor twice this month on the premises of the children home located in Pedanandipadu village, after which the victim told her mother about it. The complaint was lodged on December 17, police said.
The victim, who is a class VIII student at the children home-cum-education institute, was sent for medical examination after the alleged incident, Sub Inspector of the Pedanandipadu police station Lokeshwar told PTI.
The accused is absconding and further investigation is on, he said.
