Teenage girl raped by Class X student in Rohini school

A 15-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a Class 10th student inside the premises of a private school in Rohini area of outer Delhi, police said.
According to the police, the incident took place on November 25 at a private school, but the victim, a class ninth student, approached police on November 28. The juvenile accused is currently absconding.
The girl alleged that the accused boy, who studied in the same school, took her to an isolated place of the school and raped her on November 25. She also accused the boy of stalking her for the last few days, police said.

"The girl said that after the incident, the boy threatened her of dire consequence if she revealed her ordeal to anybody. However, on November 28, the girl narrated the incident to her aunt with whom she lives. Thereafter, victim's aunt approached Prashant Vihar police and registered an FIR against the accused," a police official said.
However, school authorities were unaware about the incident till December 2, when the police first approached the school for age verification of the accused and the girl.
Police said that since the matter has come to light, boy is absconding. The official added that a case under sections of rape and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) has been registered at Prashant Vihar police station and further investigation is on.
