Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who conducted an aerial survey in Damaracharla mandal of Nalgonda district, decided that the place is best suited for setting up the power plants, according to a release from his office.
The proposed location of the plants lies in a reserve forest area. Hence, Rao spoke to Union Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar and sought early permissions for them from the Centre. The Union Minister responded positively, the release said.
Rao plans to go to Delhi in January seeking the permissions, it said, adding he has asked officials to prepare detailed project reports for the proposed plants.
