Telangana govt to launch programme for village development

The Telangana government will launch a new programme called 'Grama Jyoti' for development of villages in the state from next month.
Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao would announce the programme on August 15 and works on the initiative would start on August 17, according to a state government released here today.
The programme envisages preparing plans for development of villages for five years and involving residents of the village in different development works in big way, it said.
