The Telangana government today proposed seven zones and two multi-zones as part of the zonal system in the state with regard to government employment.
A release from the Chief Minister's office said, the the chief minister announced at a review meeting that the Zonal and Multi Zonal system has been formulated to benefit employees of Telangana as well as to see that the earlier injustices in the united State (undivided AP) are not repeated.
The government's decision would be conveyed to employees and the Chief Secretary wouldreceive their views, the release said.
The state cabinet would approve the system and it would be forwarded to the President for his assent, it said.
It has become necessary to reorganise the zonal system in the state following the formation of the state (in 2014) and also subsequent reorganisation of districts, the release added.
