A professor of Telugu at the Kakatiya University, Warangal, Vidamhe received the Sahitya Akademi award in 2013 for her compilation of essays, 'Saahithyaaksharam lo Sagam - Telugu, Streela Asthitva Saahithyam, Kavitvam, Katha'.
