Tension prevailed in Shukertal area in the district after a particular community allegedly attempted to construct boundary wall of a structure at a disputed land.

The incident occurred on Sunday when a group of people started construction of the boundary wall, Sub Divisional Magistrate Umesh Mishra said.

Police rushed to the spot and stopped the construction work after other people objected to it, Mishra said.

Security has been tightened and extra police has been deployed in the area.
