'Budapest' has received nominations in best film, director and original screenplay category for Wes Anderson, besides original music, cinematography, editing, production design, costume design, make up & hair and sound.
In the best film category, it will compete with, 'Birdman', Richard Linklater's 'Boyhood' and biopics 'The Theory of Everything' and 'The Imitation Game', which are also nominated in the Outstanding British film list with 'Paddington', 'Pride', '71' and Scarlett Johansson starrer alien drama 'Under The Skin'.
'The Imitation Game' was also a big winner nomination-wise at BAFTA by scoring nine nods including best actor for Benedict Cumberbatch for his portrayal of tragic scientist Alan Turing and best supporting actress to Keira Knightley.
Cumberbatch will compete with Fiennes, Eddie Redmayne (Theory), Jake Gyllenhaal (Nightcrawler), Michael Keaton (Birdman) and Fiennes (Budapest).
Amy Adams is nominated in the leading actress category for her real-life inspired drama 'Big Eyes' (also nominated in production design). The leading actress list also includes 'Theory' star Felicity Jones, 'Still Alice' star Julianne Moore, Reese Witherspoon for 'Wild' and Rosamund Pike for 'Gone Girl' (also nominated for adapted screenplay).
Apart from Anderson and Linklater, the best director category was rounded off by Alejandro G Inarritu (Birdman), James Marsh (Theory) and Damien Chazelle for 'Whiplash'.
