'The Martian' to release on October 2.

Ridley Scott's "The Martian", an upcoming science-fiction film, is all set to hit theatres on October 2.
Fox has preponed the release date of "The Martian" by a month after it was earlier slated for November 25 release, reported Deadline.
"The Martian", which garnered positive responses, will now have a box office clash with "London Has Fallen", "Adam Jones" and "The Walk".
"The Martian" is based on a best-selling novel by Andy Weir which follows a lone man who must figure out how to survive long enough on Mars to return to Earth.
The movie stars Jessica Chastain, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Kristen Wiig in pivotal roles.
