Espionage thriller "The Saint" will get a reboot by Paramount Pictures.
The Val Kilmer-starrer film was based on the book series by Leslie Charteris that ran from 1923 to 1963.
The studio has secured the book series rights, reported Us magazine.
Robert Evans is likely to produce the film. If the deal is closed, the studio will have another franchise in development.
The movie was based on Simon Templar, a professional thief. The character has been featured in many Hollywood movies made between 1938 and 1954, and in a popular British TV series, starring Roger Moore in 1960s.
