Khadi and Village Industries PC Trust has been modernised.
The modernisation programme was being undertaken to improve the quality of the product and also expand the market area apart from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Puducherry and Karnataka, K Shiva Kumar, Secretary, Gandhigram trust said in a release here today.
The trust had invested Rs 10 lakh on modernisation of the unit. The production quantity had been increased from the present 10 tonnes to 20 tonnes.
The total sale of aloe vera shampoo and herbal shampoo rose from Rs 3.05 crore in 2014-15 to Rs 3.23 crore in 2015-16.
