Addressing the gathering, Science and Technology Minister Reddy emphasised on the need for the country to create its own contemporary culture.
"We should not get stuck in the past and not only depend on ancient heritage but also develop some of our own. We need to produce our own contemporary culture," he said.
Pilot highlighted importance of Hindi language in uniting people from various parts of the country.
"If there is any power in the country which binds people together, it is the Hindi language. People who speak Bengali, Marathi or any language will also agree with me. Be it in films, literature or drama, it attracts people," the Corporate Affairs Minister said.
"I am not an individual who discriminates between Hindi and English but then adopting English does not mean that we distances ourselves from our roots," he said.
Ashok Vajpayee is the guest editor of the third edition of the magazine.
