In a statement, Trend MMS, the organiser of the event, said this year the programmes will be organised at Mumbai's NCPA Auditorium.
"Sankardeva Movement is an ambitious attempt to promote the ideals of Sankardeva and the culture of Assam across India," it added.
Mahapurush Sankardeva, a versatile personality, was a saint, poet, dramatist, actor, sculptor, painter and most importantly a social engineer who united the heterogeneous society of Assam.
In 2012, Sankardeva Movement was organised in Delhi, while it was held in Bengaluru in the next year.
Many renowned artistes, including Ashwini Bhide Deshpande, Anup Jalota, Guru Reuban Masangva, Kalpana Patowary and Zubeen Garg will perform at the function.
"Well-known Assamese singer Khagen Mahanta would be felicitated for his outstanding contribution towards Assamese culture during the event," the statement said.
