Rajesh Pratap Singh, Rohit Bal and Urvashi Kaur are among 13 designers who will present their collection during the opening show of Amazon India Fashion Week (AIFW) Autumn-Winter, which begins here from March 15.
The first day of this edition of the fashion week is dedicated to handloom and will recognise unsung weavers of the country.
Other designers who will showcase are AKAARO, Antar-Agni, eka, Neeru Kumar, pero, Sanjay Garg, Suket Dhir, 11.11/eleven eleven along with Good Earth - Nicobar.
Good Earth has been The Handloom School's strong supporter in their journey. For the opening show, they enabled a week-long fabric showcase for the designers to handpick The Handloom School's textiles, from over two hundred unique designs for their showcase.
"The opening show holds great value for us, and this show is our collective effort to encourage artisans and craftsmen, inspiring them to make the most of our heritage.
"With this show, we are certainly putting the right foot forward for representation of the hands who spin the yarn and weave the fabric," The Fashion Design Council of India, President, Sunil Sethi, said in a statement.
The fashion week will culminate on March 18.
