Three arrested for robbery in Ghaziabad

Three persons of a gang of interstate robbers were arrested and Rs 1.39 lakh cash besides gold and silver ornaments, and a looted pistol were seized from them, police said.
Six armed miscreants had robbed transporter Surendra Raj Mitra, a resident of Govindpuram here, in the wee hours of December 17, SP, City Shiv Hari Meena said.
Three robbers, identified as Lokesh, Shovindra, and Sachin, were arrested after an encounter last night near Kamla Nehru Nagar crossing by a team of Special Operations Group.
Rs 1.39 lkah cash, 2 kg silver and 700 gram gold ornaments, and a pistol were seized from their possession, Meena said.

On interrogation, the gang confessed to having robbed the family, the SP added.
