Bru community were arrested for their alleged involvement in the abduction of two Mizos and a non-tribal in November last year, police said today.
All the three arrested, who are residents at Naisingpara relief camp in North Tripura district's Kanchanpur sub-division, were arrested by Tripura police and handed over to their Mizoram counterpart on Thursday.
Sources in Mizoram police special branch said they were members of Bru Democratic Liberation Front of Mizoram (BDLFM) which is allegedly responsible for a number of abduction cases in the state.
The BDLFM men had abducted Sanglianthanga, Lalzawmliana and Deep Mondal of West Bengal on November 23 last year from near an abandoned anti-poaching camp at Chikha inside Mizoram-Bangladesh border Dampa Tiger Reserve.
