at Lancchanpara village near here today, police said.
The deceased were part of a group of six youngsters from Wadi Ranhmahal area of the city, they said.
Police said the youths went to the river to celebrate their success in XIIth class exam.
Four of the youths who entered the river were being swept away by strong water current when their friends raised an alarm, following which nearby people rushed to the spot and saved one of them, they said.
However, three others identified as Ronak Mistry, Keyur Prabhakar and Bhavesh Pavar could not be saved, police said, adding that their bodies were fished out.
