Three held for car heist in Haryana

Police here today arrested three persons, travelling in a stolen car, and recovered from their possession a countrymade pistol and two live cartridges.
Those arrested have been identified as Hasim alias Doctor, a resident of Shahjahanpur in Uttar Pradesh, Ashraf, from Sopur district in Bihar and Rishu, who hails from Patna district in Bihar, a spokesperson of Haryana Police said.
The car in which they were travelling was intercepted near a police barricade on T-point Sirhol in Sector-18, he said.
The car occupants failed to produce documents of the vehicle and on searching the vehicle police recovered a countrymade pistol and two live cartridges from their possession, the official said.
During interrogation the trio confessed to having looted the car from Sector-58, Noida at gunpoint and that they had come to Gurgaon to steal another vehicle, police said.
A case has been registered against them at Sector-18 police station under relevant provisions of the law.
The accused were produced in the court from where they have been sent to judicial custody, police said.
