Three held for selling preactivated SIMs

Police have launched a crackdown on the sale of pre-activated prepaid SIM cards in Kandhamal district and arrested three persons.
"Three persons were arrested during raids conducted by police at Pulbani, G Udayagiri and Baliguda simultaneously on Sunday evening. Four cases were registered in this regard," Kandhamal Superintendnt of Police, K V Singh said,
Another person was detained at G Udayagiri for interrogation.
At least 21 SIMs and several documents were seized from their possession.
Raids would be intensified in the district to crack down on sellers who forge documents to sell such SIM cards, the SP said.
