Joint Sub-Registrar P. Pothuraju had allegedly sought kickback of 1 per cent on the registration value of land purchased by complainant near Ramnagar area in the city.
Pothuraju had initially sought Rs 27,500 from the complainant to complete registration formalities, but later agreed to settle for Rs 12000, the ACB stated in release.
The ACB, after verifying facts, laid a trap in his office.
Also arrested along with Pothuraju are junior assistant K Apparao and an assistant to a document writer N Shanmukha Rao.
