Three workers, including two women, were injured today in an attack by a bison that strayed into an estate in nearby Valparai, police said.
The workers who were attacked by the bison while plucking tea leaves ran helter shelter. In the melee, three of them sustained serious injuries and were hospitalised, they said.
People in the hilly town of Valparai in the district are living in panic for the last few weeks following wild animals, particularly elephants, straying into the human habitats, attacking them and damaging their property.
