The incident took place near Bairaj village as a speeding truck rammed into a car from the rear in which three occupants of the four-wheeler died on the spot, while another sustained injury, Deputy Superintendent of Police Manoj Ram said.
Two of the victims were identified as Mahadev Singh Yadav (50) and his son Basant Yadav (30), he said.
Meanwhile, the local people blocked the highway carrying the bodies with them alleging that the accident took place due to extortion by policemen from trucks as its drivers try to speed away and collide with other moving vehicles.
