The three boys were aged between 9-10 years and were identified as Md Saheb, Aman and Md Idrish, the police said.
They had gone for a bath in pond near their house, sources said adding when they did not return home, their parents got worried and started searching for them.
On reaching the spot, they found their clothes lying by the side of the pond, which led them to suspect that the children might have drowned.
Police swung into action after parents informed the Mufassil police station about the incident.
All the bodies were brought to Hazaribag Sadar hospital for post mortem after a case was registered in this regard.
