Three nabbed with heroin, cannabis in Jammu

Three people were arrested with over 300 grams of narcotics allegedly being smuggled from Kashmir Sunday night here, police said.

A police party intercepted a car at Bahu plaza area in the city and recovered 85 grams of heroin, 260 grams cannabis and Rs 52,000 in cash from it, they said.

The occupants of the car were identified as Abdul Lateef, Manzoor Ahmed and Abdul Majeed of Baramulla and Kupwara districts of north Kashmir, police said.

A case was registered and investigations are on, they said.
