Three persons killed, 18 others injured in Bihar accidents

Three persons were killed and 18 others injured today in separate road accidents in three Bihar districts today, police officials said.
A youth was killed and 10 others were injured as a pick up van carrying members of a marriage party lost control and overturned near Sukhiya crossing in Purnia district, Sub-Divisional Police Officer Brijkishore Paswan said.
The victims was identified as Mantu Kumar Paswan (15), a native of Madhepura district, he said.
The injured were admitted to different hospitals where the condition of two of them was stated to be critical, Paswan said.
In another accident, two persons were killed and as many injured when a car hit a bus on NH-31 near Sakroul village in Nalanda district.
Station House Officer of Deepnagar police station Rajnandan Prasad said the driver of a speeding car lost control and dashed against a state transport bus from behind on NH-31.
The deceased have been identified as Nitish Kumar and Sanjeev Kumar, the SHO said adding the car was on way to Pawapuri from Barh to attend a marriage party.
He said the injured have been sent to sadar hospital for treatment and the bodies sent for post-mortem.
In the third accident, six persons were injured when car in which they were travelling rammed into a stationary bus at a market place in Madhubani district, Araria police station in-charge Ranjit Kumar said.
The injured were taken to a Sub-Divisional hospital for treatment, he said.
