Three sandalwood laden trucks were seized from a factory in the Mandeep industrial area near here, Madhya Pradesh forest department sources said.
The factory owner's son Mufiz and guard Ramesh were also detained by the forest department yesterday after the sandalwood, valued about Rs 1.5 crore, was seized from the premises, sources said.
The sandalwood was brought from South Indian states under the garb of fruit transport.
The booty was kept hidden under sweet lime fruit to suppress its aroma, but it was detected during patrolling, sources added.
