Three youths try to molest girl

Three youths allegedly tried to molest a 12-year-old girl in Rasulpur area here on Friday, following which two of the accused were arrested.
According to police, the three youths allegedly tried to outrage the modesty of the girl at one of the accused's house to which she was dragged by them. However, the girl managed to escape from their clutches and informed the matter to family members, after which they lodged an FIR.
One of the accused Nurul(30) had around 5 months ago molested the girl, alleged the complaint lodged last night. Two of the youths are married, said police.

The other two youth were identified as Bhola and Miraj.
The girl was sent for medical examination today and two of the accused have been arrested. A search is on for the third youth, added police.
The brother of the victim alleged Nurul had been stalking his sister for the last 5-6 months and had outraged her modesty five months ago.

Due to his fear, she had stopped going to her school for the last few days after she had appeared for her class fifth exam, he charged.
The acused had earlier threatned to kill her if she discloses to anyone about the incident, the brother added.

He further alleged Varanasi police registered a case for an attempt to outrage the modesty of the girl but did not register it under IPC sections relating to rape to make the issue lighter.
