Thundershower in parts of UP; Allahabad hottest at 43.8 deg C

Certain parts of Uttar Pradesh witnessed light rain and thundershowers but large areas continued to experience severe heat.
According to the Met office, light to moderate rain/thundershowers occurred at isolated places over the state.
Turtipar received 3 cm of rainfall. Day temperatures fell in Agra and Jhansi divisions but changed a little in the remaining divisions.
Day temperatures were above normal in Varanasi, Kanpur, Bareilly and Lucknow divisions and normal in the remaining divisions.
Allahabad and Banda recorded the highest temperature of 43.8 degrees Celsius.
The Met office has forecast rain and thundershowers would continue at isolated places in the next couple of days.
