Tiger mauls man to death in Sunderbans

A 28-year-old man was today mauled to death by a tiger near Patharpratima in the Sunderbans, police said.
Bachhu Mallik, a resident of Satyadaspur village, went out for fishing at river creek along with four others when he was attacked by a Royal Bengal tiger, who dragged him in the forests, they said.
Mallika's friends chased the tiger and managed to rescue him. He was rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead on arrival, police said adding the body has been sent for post-mortem.
