Resuming at the overnight score of 360 for 7, Tamil Nadu lasted for just 14 overs with Amit Mishra claiming all the three wickets that fell today in the hosts innings.
During the 14 overs, Tamil Nadu added another 40 runs to tally 400 all out in 134 overs and overnight not out batsman Baba Indrajith missed out on a deserving century being caught and bowled by seamer Amit Misra for 91 (144b, 9x4) and had put on 76 runs for the eighth wicket with Malolan Rangarajan, who made 36 (114b, 3x4, 1x6).
All the four spinners were among the wickets but Malolan (5 for 42) and Suresh Kumar (4 for 38) were the chief wreckers.
This is Tamil Nadu's second win this season and earlier they had defeated J&K at Dindigul and with this win, they take their tally to 16.
