Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today held a meeting with the head of all departments and told them that government would not tolerate corruption at any cost.
The move comes three days after the CM sacked Asim Ahmed Khan from his Cabinet on alleged graft charges.
"Government will soon form teams of officers, which will work under Vigilance Department, to keep a tab on the work in all departments and if any officer is found taking bribe, government will act tough," a senior government official said.
"In the meeting, the CM informed the bureaucrats that the government has developed an information network under Vigilance Department.
"Through this network, we will search corruption in departments and if any officer is found taking bribe, government will sack him or her from the job besides taking strict action in such cases," Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said here.
All HODs have also been asked by the Chief Minister to ensure that there was zero corruption in their departments and it was their responsibility that the work were done in their departments with full honesty, he said.
Yesterday, CM Kejriwal had held a meeting with all AAP MLAs and said had the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) been under the control of the state government, sacked Delhi minister Asim Ahmed Khan would have been in jail by now.
