Toll-booth employees attack police team

Employees of a toll-booth here allegedly attacked a police team when they reached to investigate complaints of alleged misbehaviour and over- charging, an official said today.
The incident occurred at the Mahuvan toll-booth on the National Highway 2 yesterday, Deputy Superintendent of Police Nitin Singh said.
The situation was controlled when a team of the Farah Police Station also reached the spot, he said.
"The employees of the toll-booth attacked the police party when it reached to investigate complaints of overcharging by a few travellers," the officer said.
A case has been registered in the matter, he said.
