An official statement today quoted Lalzirliana as saying that the insurgent group was planning to blast the lone railroad linking Mizoram at Bairabi town from Assam, National Highway No 54, the lifeline of the state between Bagha in Assam's Cachar district and Mizoram's Vairengte and also some vital installations in Aizawl.
H Z Sangbera, chairman of the HPC-D was arrested on Tuesday evening at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi by the state police officials and brought to Aizawl yesterday.
Sangbera was arrested after he landed in the Airport from Imphal by Kingfisher flight.
Earlier on June 10, 'Army Chief' Lalropuia and 'Deputy Army Chief' Biaknunga of the HPC-D were arrested by the state police from Silchar Airport in Assam's Cachar district.
