The Congress campaign in the city was led by party Vice President Rahul Gandhi, who while addressing a well-attended rally at Dakshinpuri area of South Delhi, appealed to people to support his party and slammed BJP on a number of issues.
He asked why BJP had failed to come out with its election manifesto till now.
Senior BJP leader L K Advani and party president Rajnath Singh also hit the campaign trail in the city, asking people to reject "corrupt" Congress and vote for BJP for a new beginning.
In his address at a rally in South Delhi's Jaitpur area, Singh accused Congress of indulging in "politics of division" and said people now want to get rid of its "massive corruption" and "inefficiency".
He also alleged the UPA government was unable to respond effectively on a range of key matters, including the boundary issue with China and terrorism.
The BJP president also slammed Aam Aadmi Party for "misleading" people of Delhi to "grab power" and then "running away" from its responsibilities.
In a separate rally in North West Delhi, Advani slammed the UPA government and asked people to support BJP in the election.
AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal also held several roadshows where he attacked BJP and Congress and alleged that the two parties had a "setting" between themselves.
He wondered why he was always the target of ink and egg attacks and not his adversaries.
During roadshows at a number of areas in New Delhi constituency, the former Delhi Chief Minister said he was undeterred by the attacks and would continue his fight till the "last breath" and that "no evil force" could stop his party.
We will fight till the last breath, no evil force can stop us," he said.
