The 42-year-old 'True Tori' star tripped and fell on a hibachi grill, the grill used by chefs to cook in front of customers.
The incident took place when she was with husband Dean McDermott and their children Liam, Stella, Hattie and Finn on Sunday, April 5, reported Aceshowbiz.
She reportedly suffered a bad burn which required a skin graft.
Spelling apparently went home and tried to take care of the injury herself, but the pain remained and did not get better. So, she went to a Burn Center in California to see her doctor before finally being ordered to undergo treatment.
