The business community here today called for a citywide bandh tomorrow, protesting against the deteriorating law and order situation in the district.
"Nobody seemed serious about solving problems and creating a friendly ambiance for trade and business to grow," Agra Vyapar Mandal leader TN Agarwal said adding several of businessmen have left Agra due to poor state of law and order.
The decision was taken this afternoon by Vyapar Mandal leaders. Major trade associations, market committees and professional bodies have extended support for the bandh, they said.
The businessmen are upset with police for their failure to crack major cases of loots and murders here, they added.
