Roads in several parts of the city witnessed huge traffic jams this morning with devotees flocking the ghats of the Yamuna for Chathh Puja.
Among the affected roads were those passing through Vikas Marg, ITO, Kalindi Kunj, Kashmiri Gate, Wazirabad, Mayur Vihar and Ajmeri Gate, traffic police said.
Commuters heading for work in the morning were stuck in heavy traffic jams on the first working day of the week.
Vikas Marg was jam-packed with vehicles from Laxmi Nagar to ITO as devotees started returning from Chathh Ghats after sunrise.
Those rushing to catch early morning trains and flights also got delayed due to snail-paced traffic on affected roads.
Traffic was heavy at Kalindi Kunj towards Faridabad (both carriageways) due to Chhath Puja. Traffic movement was also slowed down from Chandgi Ram Akhara towards ISBT, they said.
